We’re delighted and very proud to reveal the Bo’ness Hillclimb 14th Revival Commemorative Bottling from our sponsor Cask 88. The limited edition bottle is a 14-year old Croftengea Single Cask malt and only 100 bottles will be available.
Back in 2007, as the plans for the first Bo’ness Revival were getting underway, this spirit was distilled, and filled into a refill Bourbon Hogshead (#254), at Loch Lomond distillery in Alexandria. After 14 years of maturation, this peated variant of the distillery’s usual produce has developed notes of sweet buttered popcorn, the scent of an open fire, and herbaceous notes, which come together to form a well-rounded Highland dram.
If you take a look at the label, you’ll get strong notes of Castrol R and Austin 7 from the unique Moose Special, driven by Colin McLachlan at Bo’ness. Each bottle costs £97 and is an instant collector’s item, though we can also recommend tasting the contents.
